I add the cameras to the list, but there has been a configuration issue on my wifi network. I have them in a complicated place to access. Do I have to reset them and wire them to connect to the menu?

It depends on the connectivity features supported by those cameras. If the cameras support WiFi, simply connect to their network and then perform the configuration from the administration. If you set up a password, then make sure to use it or reset the camera's preferences using its Reset button (check the manual to see where is it located).
The XXCAMERA app is just an interface that allows you to connect to those cameras. It can't perform configuration maintenance for them.
My XXCamera software shows invalid username or invalid password message.

The XXCamera application doesn't have its own username and passwordб which means that the username and password used are for the cameras you added to the database through XXCamera. This little program simply allows you to add CCTV or remote cameras to watch the live stream. If you have an issue with the camera, then local maintenance needs to be performed for the camera. Try removing the camera from application, then add it back and retype your credentials. If it still doesn't work, connect a PC to the camera and access the administration menu to change the password.
Additionally, consult the manual of the camera to learn how to reset it.
I understand the user manual for this device is not for mac, but how can I check it out if I don't have a PC?

There is a way to see what are the connection modes for XXCamera. Browse the website listed below and you will see various ways to connect to the camera. Make sure to identify the camera model on the left and then use the correct string in the middle column.
If you have problems with your password, simply remove the camera from the list and then add it again. Additionally, connect to the Administration interface of the CCTV camera and use the Forgot password? to recover it. If you want to install the XXcamera again, use the application's page at Google Play Store.
